I took lessons with Paul when I was in elementary school and now have come back in my mid 20s because I trusted him to know me, my skill level, and help me work towards what my goals are. His lessons are the perfect mix of theory, practicing, and playing, and he gives you the opportunity to pick a song to learn that challenges you, then play it live with a band. He’s truly the best!

Paul Anderson is an amazing guitar teacher! He teaches my 11 year old son. My son started with acoustic guitar and has now moved onto electric guitar. Paul has a very nice, fun way about him that keeps my son excited and engaged with his lessons. My son is so excited to be jamming on his guitar. Hearing my son and Paul play together is awesome. I can’t say enough good things about Paul not to mention that he comes to our house to teach! If you need a guitar teacher, I highly recommend him!

I’ve been taking lessons with Paul for more than 11 years and have recommended him to multiple people. I’ve not only seen the improvements in my playing abilities over the years but also in the other students who perform twice annually in a “student showcase” Guitarbeque. I never really saw myself performing onstage with a band but Paul manages to get me to do it twice every year.

I’ve played guitar for over 50 years now and worked with local, national, and international music acts. But I didn’t learn how to play guitar until I found Paul. I’ve never met a more patient or helpful mentor. He will help you develop your style by focusing on how you experience music. He talks the kind of guitar you want learn. Rock to country, blues to jazz, he can play it and he can teach it. Paul guitar instruction has been a key therapy in overcoming a stoke. For 5 years I couldn’t play and in less time than that he had me playing live jazz. If you really want to learn, give him a call, I highly recommend him!

Paul is an outstanding guitar teacher with a broad knowledge of styles, techniques, theory and seems to know every song I can dream up. Endless patience, fun and a gifted musician, Paul is a serious music teacher who breaks down lessons, concepts and songs into small pieces allowing the student sufficient time to tackle a piece at a time. Twice yearly Guitarbeque is simply brilliant and gives each student an opportunity to play with a professional 4 piece band. Young or old, beginner or advanced student, you won’t find a better teacher than Paul, who can help you progress with your guitar playing. I’ve been taking a 1 hour lesson once a week for two years and will continue for years to come.

My son-in-law and grandson go to Paul Anderson in Englewood. 303-521-6305 As a family we love Paul, since he has a party for all of his students at a restaurant downtown. It is a unique recital and everyone at whatever level gets to participate.

Paul is a very accomplished guitar player and instructor. He handles all levels and ages. I have taken many lessons from various instructors during the 50+ years that I have played guitar; and after over 5 years with Paul I am still learning so much that I did not know. He teaches “music,” not just songs. That said, he has helped me to be able to do much better arrangements of songs that I thought I already knew, and helped me learn new material in ways I could not have done without his guidance..

I started lessons with Paul when he started teaching in the 80’s. I left my lessons with Paul when I left for Hollywood ready to launch my career. I’d already been playing for 15 years or so when I met Paul (through word of mouth btw), but I found I knew very little about guitar let alone music. Paul opened my eyes to the wonders of the guitar and the intracasies of music, all kinds of music.

It was Paul’s tutelege that led me to the confidence and the abilities to go to Hollywood in the first place. The impact was such that when I had a stroke at 44, I hired Paul again to help me relearn how to play. I had been trying on my own and it took 5 years just to play a chord properly. I Finally called Paul, restarted my lessons, and now I am playing advanced jazz and blues again. The best stroke therapy there is!

It’s 13 years later and I talk and walk and play guitar again! And Paul and the guitar were key to all of that. For 51 years I’ve played guitar now. and I’ve learned there are many who say they are the best. Paul is the best, hands down. If you want to learn guitar, Paul is your choice!

Guitar Lessons
My 8 year old son has been taking guitar lessons for several months with Paul Anderson. He is excited about learning and even performed in his first Guitarbque, which is the twice annual showcase for Paul’s students. It was wonderful watching Paul’s students ages 7-70. I learned that many had been students for over ten years! We are looking forward to Ty’s continued fun in learning guitar!

I have been taking lessons from Paul for two years. He is a great teacher and has an incredible knowledge of music. I have played things that I never thought I could play. My lesson is one of the best hours of my week.

Paul is an amazing guitar teacher. He is fun, creative, talented, enthusiastic and all around a great guy. He really makes an effort to understand his students and bring out the very best in them in a low key, supportive way. I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn guitar. He is also flexible on schedule and meeting place which is priceless.

There are 5 of us in the family that take guitar lessons with Paul. He is knowledgeable, patient, fun and an amazing teacher. He comes to our home, is always on time, and has the perfect mix of guidance/ discipline, allowing freedom while playing guitar.

I have been studying with Paul for nearly a couple years now, and look forward to it every week! He’s full of ideas that mix things up, and lessons are never boring. He’s patient, and full of information on whatever specifics are being studied.

Paul has so much patience to teach me how to play guitar. It amazes me how my brain thinks one way but my fingers go a different way. Paul’s teaching techniques clearly produce good results.
